Several years ago, a friend lent Kent a vintage book on producing arts-and-crafts cement work for the home. Thus began a love affair with cement that has seen Kent's drawing and painting practice translated into small-scale cement tile work. This deliciously archaic medium allows Kent to expand his trademark passion for simple, illusionistic figures by bringing them into low-relief objecthood.
